Beale Tax Center

The Beale Tax Center Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program allows Beale members and retirees the opportunity to have their federal and state taxes prepared and submitted by trained volunteers for free. The VITA program is an Internal Revenue Service initiative to help lower income people who often need help preparing their own tax returns.

They are located at the corner of B Street and Doolittle Drive, next to the 9th Contracting Squadron. For more information, call the tax center at 634-5536.

Please be sure you bring your ID, W-2, and 1099s.

Military OneSource offers free tax consultations and free e-filing for active duty, Guard, Reserve and their family members. Additionally, TaxCut Basic Online by H&R Block is free to prepare your taxes. To access this free service provided by the Department of Defense, you must be registered and logged into the Military OneSource Web site.

Intuit Tax Freedom Project

Active Duty, Reservists, and National Guard members can prepare and file their federal taxes for FREE using TurboTax. To qualify, you must have a 2008 W-2 form from the military and have earned an Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) of $56,000 or less. You may also qualify for a free, if you are filing in a state that sponsors a Free File Program.
