California Women, Infants, and Children Program Supplemental Nutrition Program (WIC)

WIC is a nutrition program that helps pregnant women, new mothers and young children eat well and stay healthy. Click Here for more information about the WIC Program or search for your the local WIC agency based on where you live by clicking the button below.

The Yuba County WIC office does schedule appointment for when they are on-base at the Airman & Family Readiness Center on the 3rd Tuesday each month. Contact the WIC program to schedule on-base appointments at 749-4830.

Sutter County Children & Families Commission Programs

In an effort to assist the community with one of the many health care costs faced by families and recognizing that out of pocket expenses for immunizations can be a barrier to having children immunized, the Commission has developed a free immunization program for the children under six residing in Sutter County. Immunizations will be provided by the Sutter County Health Department.

K.I.S.S. (Kids in Safety Seats) for Yuba County Residents

Parents are welcome to attend car seat classes. Classes are offered in 3 languages: English, Spanish and Hmong. To qualify for a car seat, you must be a Yuba County resident, be income eligible, must attend and finish car seat educational class and must register and pay prior to start of class. Car seats that are offered include convertible, forward facing combination car seat or high-back booster seat.

The 2009 schedule are as follows:
- English classes are held every first Wednesday from 2-4 PM
- Spanish classes are held every first Tuesday from 1-3 PM
- Hmong classes are held every first Tuesday from 3-5 PM

Registration is $20 per adult. All classes are held at the Packard Center Facility located at 5730 Packard Avenue in Marysville at the Yuba County Health and Human Services. To register for an upcoming class or for additional information please call Yuba County Public Health at (530) 749-6366.
